Kristy accepts briefs to appear and advise in public/administrative law and criminal law, including in:
• privacy, freedom of information and matters related to integrity bodies
• child protection
• minor crime
• disciplinary proceedings
• public inquiries
• coronial inquests
• residential tenancy matters.
Kristy also accepts briefs in commercial law and general civil law.
Before coming to the Bar, Kristy held senior roles as in-house solicitor for a number of government agencies. She has significant experience in matters related to integrity bodies, use of coercive powers, statutory interpretation, privacy & freedom of information law. She has an excellent understanding of government processes and advising senior decision makers. Earlier in her career, Kristy practiced in civil law in the Legal Aid and community legal sectors.
