Ben practices in civil litigation with a particular focus on personal injury & insurance law matters and accepts briefs from both plaintiff and defendant practitioners.
As well as conducting appearance work, Ben provides written advice, prepares paperwork and attends settlement conferences and mediations.
Ben comes to the Bar with over 22 years’ experience in civil litigation. He worked for 4 years as a solicitor for the TAC for 4 years litigating common law and statutory benefits claims. For the last 16 years Ben worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at WorkSafe Victoria, the largest civil litigator in the State where he managed scheme liabilities and delivered legal policy, protocols and guidelines for WorkSafe’s legal panel firms and wider stakeholders. He specialised in serious injury and common law damages litigation.
